Thousands of Americans have signed a petition calling for Piers Morgan to be deported after he criticised the country's gun laws on national television. During an interview with Larry Pratt, the executive director of firearms lobby group Gun Owners of America on his CNN chat show, the outspoken English journalist attacked his guest's views on gun ownership saying, "You're an unbelievably stupid man aren't you?" A seething Morgan went on to call him a, "dangerous man espousing dangerous nonsense" and that he shamed his country. In response thousands of outraged Americans have signed a petition on the White House website calling for his deportation for they say was as attack on the country's 2nd amendment, that of the right to keep and bear arms . The petition reached its target of 25,000 signatures in just three days, meaning the Obama administration must respond to it. Morgan has said he is not worried by the petition, remarking that America's First Amendment - the freedom of speech - protects him any backlash about his comments about the Second Amendment. Morgan's comments come as The National Rifle Association said that they believed in order to protect children in the wake of the Sandy Hook shootings, armed officers are needed at every school Written and presented by Alfred Joyner"
